Jurgens Hendriks

Jurgens Hendriks is professor at the Theology Faculty of the Stellenbosch University. Under his leadership a unit for demographic religious research was developed. He also played a leading role in the founding of the Network for African Congregational Theology (NetACT) in 2000 in Nairobi.

At present the network has Reformed-Presbyterian training centres in eight countries, with its head office at the Theology Faculty of Stellenbosch. This involvement in Africa led to a sharp increase of postgraduate students from all over Africa who enrolled at the faculty.

As Executive Director of NetACT Professor Hendriks has played a major role in collecting more than two million rand in aid of NetACT.
