Braam Klopper

Braam Klopper has been a minister of the Kempton Park East DRC congregation for the past 30 years. He is also a pastoral therapist specialising in bereavement counselling. He has written a book on bereavement Wanneer woorde ontbreek (Lux Verbi 2000 and 2009) and has issued a CD series Gesprekke oor rou – a unique product since it offers bereavement counselling to people who are not within reach of a therapist. As theologian he has a particular interest in the question of Theodicy: How can a loving yet omnipotent God permit evil and suffering in the world? He is a regular speaker on bereavement counselling at medical conferences, and also helps to equip ministers, pastors, social workers, other medical personnel and members of congregations for bereavement counselling. Braam presents a weekly programme Verstaan jy wat jy lees? on Radio Pulpit. He is often invited to share his expertise on RSG, Pretoria FM, Groot FM, Radio Laeveld, Radio Namakwaland and the TV programme Kruiskyk.
